We woke up this morning at 3 am to the lovely sound of the fire alarm! Hearts pounding we packed up our children (it was freezing rain outside) and called 911. They assured us a firetruck was already en route. Mikaylah greeted the French speaking firemen with a perky 'HI I had a good nap!' they smiled politely and patted her head as they made their way up stairs to check out the building. Thankfully there was no fire! Just after the firemen left and we got our children back in bed the power went out for a second and the fire alarm went off again. The firetruck turned around and came back to check us out again. This time I took the camera and got a photo.
What a difference between the first alarm when we assumed our lives were in danger and the second alarm when we assumed that the loss of electricity triggered the alarm. Then the third, fourth and fifth alarms were just agravating because we couldn't sleep!
The power went out the last time five hours ago! So we are trusting the worst is over. Hopefully we will all sleep through the night like Jayson! He is five months old today! Time is scooting by!

Wow! What a scary night for you all!
Trust the power stays on and you've had a good night's sleep. Congrats to Jayson on his 5 month birthday.

Now that it's all over and done with - and you've caught up on your sleep - it makes a great story to tell doesn't it :)
Gotta love it when blog material just falls into your lap - or in this case wakes you up in the middle of the night - multiple times - loudly.....
Happy 5 months Jayson - you sure are a cutie pie!
Lots of love and smoochies from your favourite Auntie Jenn! (ok, I'm your only Auntie Jenn)!
PS Janice - I tagged you on my blog for a game
